A 19-year-old mechanical engineering student from Mumbai has made his runway debut at Paris Fashion Week in the Dior Menswear Spring/Summer 2027 show. Yug Sanjay Devalia, who comes from Borivali, balanced his studies at Dwarkadas J Sanghvi College of Engineering with a growing interest in creative work. His path into modelling started with a family connection that led to selection by 28Models. After six weeks of training at Vision Vogue Academy, he prepared for the event. On show day he began with a 5 am call time. Initial nervousness gave way to focus once he stepped onto the runway. He was one of a small number of Indian male models in the presentation, alongside another from Mumbai. His family in Mumbai followed the event closely. They initially expressed concern about entering the industry but later expressed pride after seeing his progress. In reflections shared afterward, he described the personal significance of the moment and the support from his parents, sister and grandmother. Despite the career development, he plans to finish his engineering degree before focusing fully on modelling. He remains open to future work with Dior while expressing interest in other major houses.
