A Pakistani couple has accused two Punjab Police constables of harassment and attempted extortion. The account, posted on a social media consumer advocacy page, quickly gained widespread attention and prompted others to share comparable incidents. According to the husband, the event occurred on Wahdat Road in Lahore while he was traveling with his pregnant wife. He stopped on the left side of the road after she began vomiting from pregnancy-related nausea and activated the hazard lights before exiting to help her. Two officers on an unmarked motorcycle then approached, both without visible nameplates. One reportedly called for backup, stating they had caught a couple in an indecent act. The man questioned the officers, showed the interior of the vehicle, and explained the situation, but one attempted to open a door and insisted they proceed to the station. After he asked to see their nameplates, the officers allegedly became abusive and demanded 5,000 rupees to release them. They fled once he contacted the emergency helpline. No officers arrived in response for at least 40 minutes. Multiple users described similar encounters in Lahore, and some tagged officials calling for action. Punjab Police have not yet issued a statement on the claims.
