Actress Hayden Panettiere passed away on August 16, 2026, at age 36. She gained recognition for playing Claire Bennet in the series Heroes from 2006 to 2010. Her former co-star Sendhil Ramamurthy, who portrayed Mohinder Suresh, shared a tribute on Instagram after learning of her death. In the post, he recalled meeting her during the final screen test for the show. He described feeling nervous and stepping aside while she sang show tunes confidently in the waiting room. Ramamurthy noted her professionalism, her support for background performers, and her kindness toward crew members. He also mentioned lighthearted attempts with another cast member to distract her from on-set schooling. The photo he shared was taken in Las Vegas after the Golden Globes, where she ensured he stayed hydrated. Heroes aired for four seasons. A reboot titled Heroes: Eclipsed was announced in 2024, and the original series returned to Netflix in 2026. Panettiere died in her South Carolina home with no indication of foul play. She had a daughter born in 2014. Ramamurthy recently appeared in an episode of One Piece in 2026 and the film Do Aur Do Pyaar in 2024.
