Marvel Studios released the initial trailer for VisionQuest during Disney’s D23 event in Anaheim, offering the first detailed preview of the upcoming chapter in Vision’s storyline. The series is set to debut on October 14, 2026, via Disney+.

Paul Bettany reprises his role as White Vision, the rebuilt android formed by S.W.O.R.D. in WandaVision. The footage centers on his struggle with identity, as he attempts to merge recollections and traits of the original Vision with his current synthetic form and awareness.

A notable reveal features James Spader reprising Ultron, the AI villain from the 2015 film Avengers: Age of Ultron. This marks Ultron’s primary return to the MCU following his apparent defeat, with the preview indicating their dynamic will drive key conflicts.

The narrative shifts into a psychological realm, largely unfolding within an odd digital residence that symbolizes Vision’s divided mind. There he meets human-like versions of various MCU artificial intelligences, such as F.R.I.D.A.Y., E.D.I.T.H., D.U.M-E and U. James D’Arcy returns as J.A.R.V.I.S., joined by Orla Brady, Emily Hampshire, Henry Lewis and Jonathan Sayer in other AI roles.

Ruaridh Mollica joins as Tommy Maximoff, the son of Wanda and Vision first seen with his brother Billy in WandaVision, linking the project to prior Disney+ entries.

Additional cast members include T’Nia Miller as Jocasta, Todd Stashwick as bounty hunter Paladin, and Faran Tahir reprising Raza from the 2008 film Iron Man.

Terry Matalas serves as showrunner, having previously worked on Star Trek: Picard. The project began under WandaVision creator Jac Schaeffer before Matalas assumed leadership.

VisionQuest concludes the TV trilogy started by WandaVision in 2021 and continued with Agatha All Along in 2024. Its October launch precedes the theatrical release of Avengers: Doomsday in December.

VisionQuest premieres October 14, 2026, on Disney+.
