Speaking to cheering members of the Indian community at Marvel Stadium in Australia, PM Modi presented the national slogan “grow more, achieve more” and set out India’s goal of becoming the world’s third-largest economy.

The IMF has described India as the fastest-growing major economy. Its growth forecast exceeds twice the global projection of 3 percent for this year.

Modi noted India’s progress over the past 12 years, stating it now ranks as the third-largest startup ecosystem with more than 200,000 startups and over 4,000 new registrations each month.

He added that an Indian startup is close to launching its own satellite and that defense and space were once closed to private enterprise.

He also remarked on Indian commercial districts he observed in Australia.
