On Saturday, April 11, 2026, the Indian government increased the export duty, also known as the windfall tax, on diesel to ₹55.5 per litre and on aviation turbine fuel (ATF) to ₹42 per litre. These changes take effect right away, as stated in a notification from the Finance Ministry.
