The Ministry of Railways has selected 40 stations in Telangana for redevelopment under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. The initiative involves an estimated investment of Rs 2,015 crore. Launched in 2022, the scheme focuses on modernising stations across the Indian Railways network through long-term master plans, multimodal connectivity, and improved passenger access. Redevelopment work has already been completed at four stations in the state: Begumpet, Karimnagar, Warangal and Sri Bala Brahmeswara Jogulamba.
