The death toll from an ammonia gas leak at a seafood processing plant in Tiruvallur district rose to 11 on Thursday after an Odisha woman succumbed to her injuries, according to a Health department update. The victim was named Rita Juanga. Sixty-seven people, including 64 women and three men, remain under treatment. Sixteen patients require ventilator support, 21 receive nasal oxygen, and 30 are in stable condition. The bodies of seven victims have been flown to Odisha, while the remaining four will be sent after legal procedures conclude.
