A Bengaluru court has again issued a non-bailable warrant against actor Prakash Raj over claims that his name appears on electoral rolls in four locations across three states, including Karnataka. The warrant was ordered on June 12 following a petition submitted by city advocate K. Dilip Kumar. Court records show this is the third such warrant in the matter. An initial summons was sent on February 17, 2026, via the police commissioner, but the actor was not located at the given address. The first warrant came on March 17 after reports indicated the residence had been vacated. A second warrant followed on April 17 when the actor again failed to appear. The latest order on June 12 noted that the presiding officer was away on training. The next hearing date is July 25, 2026. The case originates from the actor’s 2019 Lok Sabha contest in the Bengaluru Central constituency. The petitioner alleged multiple voter enrollments, including in Chennai’s Velachery segment and Telangana’s Serilingampally area. After approaching police in 2019 without result, the complainant turned to the court in 2023. On August 1, 2025, the court took cognizance under Sections 31 and 125(A) of the Representation of the People Act, 1950, and directed summons to be issued.
