A bus transporting 47 Amarnath pilgrims caught fire on the Jammu-Srinagar national highway near Karol in Ramban district. Officials reported that all passengers were quickly removed from the vehicle without injury. The group from Rajasthan was returning home after visiting the Amarnath shrine in the South Kashmir Himalayas when the incident occurred around 4:15 pm. The Ramban police control room confirmed the safe evacuation of everyone on board. One firefighter suffered a leg fracture after falling during efforts to control the blaze and was taken to a hospital in Jammu for treatment.
