CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke voiced support on Sunday for a volunteer who had visited a government school in West Bengal where he had studied earlier. The volunteer’s father was reportedly killed by individuals linked to the BJP after complaints were raised about the school’s poor condition.

In a post on X, Dipke shared footage of the injured volunteer in a hospital and stated that the volunteer had gone to inspect the school as part of a campaign. He noted that the father died following an attack by alleged BJP-linked goons. Dipke said CJP stands with the volunteer and his family and called for the immediate arrest of those responsible. A team from the group plans to visit West Bengal to assist in seeking justice.

Dipke also criticized those using violence to silence criticism, saying the organization would continue its efforts for better schools.

According to reports, the incident occurred in Karisunda village in Bankura district. Local police confirmed a death but stated no complaint had been filed yet. The CJP alleged that police refused to register a complaint from the volunteer. In a video, the volunteer described visiting the school for a survey and claimed BJP workers later assaulted him and his family, causing fatal head injuries to his father. The group further alleged that the volunteer’s home was surrounded and police took no action.
