Nellore District Collector Himanshu Shukla stated that the state government is introducing an animal-centric breeding approach to raise earnings for dairy farmers and enhance livestock output. The Collector and Venkatagiri MLA Kurugondla Ramakrishna joined an awareness drive for livestock keepers under the Palle Veekshana programme at Kulluru village in Kaluvoya mandal of SPSR Nellore district on Wednesday. The method will deliver scientific services to cattle, raise reproductive rates and lift milk yields, the Collector said, urging farmers to use the scheme to advance animal husbandry. Feed packets were handed out to dairy farmers, and a calf beauty contest was held with prizes awarded to winners. Animal Husbandry Department Joint Director Ramesh Nayak along with other officials took part.
