Congress leaders, including Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, began a sit-in protest outside the Prime Minister’s residence at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg. The demonstration followed police action against a march to Parliament organized by an opposition group the previous day. Participants demanded the resignations of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. Gandhi stated that the group sought accountability for injuries to students during the earlier protest and criticized the government’s handling of education issues. Police urged the demonstrators to disperse from the secure area and installed additional barriers. A video showed leaders using zip ties to link their wrists. The siblings had earlier visited a hospital to meet those injured in Monday’s events. The march had aimed to press for the resignation of the Education Minister over alleged exam paper leaks. Gandhi described the protests as reflecting broader concerns about opportunities for young people.
