Milk producers in Tamil Nadu are unhappy about the inadequate emphasis on their main challenges. The DMK’s election promises include a commitment to boost the milk buying rate by ₹5 per litre for farmers. However, the AIADMK, NTK, and TVK have failed to clarify their views on this topic in their policy documents, as stated by M.G. Rajendran, who serves as general secretary of the Tamil Nadu Milk Producers’ Welfare Association (TNMPWA).
