Delhi Traffic Police released an advisory before the Monsoon Session of Parliament, set to start Monday, July 20. The notice alerts drivers to possible restrictions and heavier traffic near the Parliament area. Extra security steps and more VIP vehicle movements will require special arrangements across the city. Motorists should allow more time for trips and steer clear of impacted routes, especially in peak periods.
The Cockroach Janta Party along with activist Sonam Wangchuk called on supporters to march toward Parliament on May 20. Police had earlier moved Wangchuk to Safdarjung Hospital following a High Court order on health monitoring. In a post shared on X via his wife Geetanjali, Wangchuk described the march as a second independence movement and called his detention unlawful.
