Union Home Minister Amit Shah proposed a 24-hour discussion period to break the ongoing parliamentary deadlock, offering to address all opposition questions from 3 pm on Wednesday until 3 pm on Thursday. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi rejected the proposal, stating the opposition had no interest in hearing his remarks.

The standoff centers on demands for Shah to address the crackdown on NEET student protests and the theft of donations at the Ram Temple. Shah asked the opposition to submit a formal letter requesting debate, after which the government would proceed.

He stated readiness to respond to any queries and confirmed regular attendance since the session started. Shah attributed the lack of proceedings to repeated disruptions by the opposition.

On the NEET issue, Shah noted the government had already agreed to discuss all aspects. The opposition seeks specific details on police actions, including alleged use of pellet guns, and insists on debating the temple theft as well.

Gandhi questioned who ordered the actions against students and suggested resignation if Shah was responsible. The offer failed to end the impasse.
