After India’s defeat to England in the second T20I at Manchester, wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan stated that the side must improve its grasp of playing conditions. He noted that three no-balls from spinner Ravi Bishnoi eased the task for Jacob Bethell, whose aggressive batting in the closing overs shifted momentum. Kishan described the selected squad as well balanced and expressed confidence in the bowlers, citing their success on flat surfaces. He added that the group must analyze the conditions more closely and continue to develop its approach. “It is just that when you do not win, there are a lot of thoughts coming in; a lot of ifs and buts are coming in,” he said. Kishan emphasized that the bowlers had proven quality in varied situations and on different pitches. He concluded that the team simply needs to assess what the overseas conditions demand from both batters and bowlers.
