Rupanjal Chauhan serves as a data journalist at Mint, contributing to Plain Facts and Data Bites by converting intricate datasets into accessible and informative stories. Her reporting covers public finances, trade, geopolitics and employment, breaking down large data sets into evidence-based accounts. She holds a postgraduate diploma in digital media from the Indian Institute of Mass Communication in New Delhi, with a focus on data-driven storytelling, and a bachelor’s degree in journalism from St. Xavier’s College, Ranchi.

Pragya Srivastava leads Plain Facts at Mint as editor, guiding coverage of key economic and social indicators. With more than ten years in journalism, she has examined GDP calculations, government surveys and time-use data, including studies on how marriage affects women’s labour participation. She began at the Press Trust of India in 2016, later worked at The Financial Express and Cogencis, and joined Mint’s data team in 2021.
