The National Testing Agency announced the NEET UG 2026 results on Thursday. A total of 11.21 lakh candidates qualified for undergraduate medical, dental, AYUSH and related courses nationwide. The timing supports the ongoing medical admission and counselling timeline.
Candidates may access their scorecards via the official site neet.nta.nic.in. The agency also released All India Rank lists, state and category toppers, qualifying thresholds and language-wise data.
The top mark of 715 out of 720 was achieved jointly by one candidate from Punjab and one from Haryana. Nineteen candidates exceeded 700 marks, while 138 scored above 690. Further breakdowns show 1,492 candidates at 650 or higher, 10,160 at 600 or above, and 90,780 at 500 or more.
Over 93 percent of the top 138 scorers were first-time participants, nearly all aged 17 to 19. Qualified candidates came from all 36 states and union territories, with Uttar Pradesh recording the most at over 1.7 lakh and Lakshadweep the fewest at 43.
Seventeen state toppers reached 700 or above, and 26 exceeded 690. The re-examination on June 21 drew nearly 20 lakh candidates across 5,440 centres in 551 Indian cities and 14 overseas locations. The test was offered in 13 languages.
Women comprised more than 58 percent of qualifiers and showed a higher pass rate than men. Category figures include 2.91 lakh general, 5.12 lakh OBC-NCL, 1.59 lakh SC, 63,716 ST, 95,026 Gen-EWS, 3,666 PwBD and 303 PwD.
The final answer key appeared the day before results. Two physics questions were revised, granting eight bonus marks to all candidates. Counselling for the 15 percent All India Quota will be handled by the Medical Counselling Committee, with state quotas managed locally. Candidates were urged to use only official sources.
