The union territory achieved a historic polling rate of 89.74%, exceeding all prior records. Close to half of the constituencies reported turnout above 90% by 8 p.m. Voters showed remarkable eagerness, arriving at polling locations well before the process commenced at 7 a.m. and forming extended lines throughout the day.
