The Ministry of Sports has suspended its recognition of the Table Tennis Federation of India. It directed the Indian Olympic Association to set up an ad-hoc panel to run the sport, pointing to governance shortcomings in the federation.
The order followed an inadequate reply to an earlier show-cause notice, mainly over the federation missing deadlines for elections.
