Three workers lost their lives at a factory on Delhi’s outskirts on Friday after reportedly inhaling toxic gas during septic tank cleaning in the Mundka Industrial Area. Delhi Fire Services received a call around noon about people trapped inside the tank. A contractor named Neeraj had been hired by the factory to perform the task along with the three men. The victims, identified as Arun, Sandeep and Chand, all from Sultanpuri, reportedly lost consciousness from the fumes. Rescue teams faced traffic delays but reached the site by 12:23 pm. Fire personnel retrieved the bodies, which were taken to a hospital for post-mortem. Police registered a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and other laws. Three individuals, including the factory owner, were arrested. Family members expressed grief over the loss of their sole earners.
