The United States Postal Service has released a set of Forever stamps honoring Barbie, the world’s top-selling doll known for representing ambition and endless opportunities over many decades.
The stamps went on sale July 11 at the 2026 National Barbie Doll Collectors Convention in Austin, Texas.
Barbie debuted in 1959 from Mattel as the Original Teenage Fashion Model and has since become a widely recognized toy, portraying hundreds of careers that encourage children to aim high.
The new issue shows ten career versions of the doll from various periods: registered nurse, surgeon, astronaut, firefighter, paleontologist, sign language teacher, robotics engineer, judge, soccer player and musical artist.
Created with Mattel, the stamps use the brand’s signature pink shades to convey energy and optimism. They are taller than standard vertical stamps and sold in panes of ten.
As Forever stamps, they stay valid for one-ounce first-class letters no matter future rate changes. They can be bought at post offices, on the USPS website, through the Postal Store or by mail order.
Since 1959 Barbie has stood for more than 250 careers. The collection underscores the doll’s lasting cultural role in inspiring young people to picture broad futures, echoing the 1985 slogan that girls can do anything.
