A hit-and-run incident occurred in Gujarat’s Mahisagar district, where a speeding car struck two women walking along a residential road in Lunawada town. The crash, recorded on CCTV, has sparked public anger and concerns about reckless driving.
The event took place in Usmani Nagar Society near Mustafa Masjid. Footage shows the women on the main road when the fast-moving vehicle hits them from behind, throwing both several feet into the air.
The driver left the car at the scene and fled without helping the victims.
Residents assisted the women and took them to a nearby hospital. Police said one woman suffered serious injuries while the other had minor ones and is receiving treatment.
Officers arrived after the crash, seized the abandoned vehicle, and are reviewing CCTV and other evidence to trace the driver. The investigation continues, with legal steps to follow once the suspect is caught.
