Karnataka has sanctioned a Rs 1,010-crore initiative to set up 10,000 Bharat Jodo Yuva Sanghas statewide. The goal is to encourage sports, cultural events, scientific outlook, leadership skills, and communal harmony among youth.

A government order dated July 13, 2026, outlines an annual grant of Rs 10 lakh per youth club, amounting to Rs 1,000 crore total. Rs 10 crore is allocated for administration and the Project Management Unit.

One such sangha will be formed in each gram panchayat. Urban areas will have clubs based on population, one per 4,000 to 10,000 people. Funding comes from municipal corporations and the Greater Bengaluru Authority.

The Youth Empowerment and Sports Department will execute it with Rural Development, Panchayat Raj, Urban Development, Revenue, and Education departments.

Each club gets funds for Rs 24,000 annual honorarium to a trainer. Implementation follows guidelines, with changes needing approval from the Youth Empowerment and Sports Minister.
