A video that spread rapidly on social media showed a passenger pushing a suspected mobile phone thief from a moving train on the Azad Hind Express. The event took place on the Urkura-Mandar railway section in Chhattisgarh. Reports indicate the accused was attempting to flee after confrontation by other travelers inside the coach.
The footage captured the man hanging near the door while the train moved at speed. A passenger then kicked him, causing him to fall. Another traveler recorded the scene, and the clip circulated widely.
Government Railway Police responded after the video appeared and arrested the identified passenger, R. Suresh Kumar. A case was registered against him under Sections 115(2) and 117(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Teams are searching for the injured suspect who fell from the train. Police continue to examine all details and review the video as key evidence.
The incident has prompted discussion about passenger safety and risks of vigilante actions during rail travel.
