A disagreement over 500 rupees from a mobile Ludo game led to violence in Jetpur, Gujarat, where a man was reportedly stabbed by his friend after refusing to surrender the winnings.
The event occurred as the complainant and the accused sat on a bench near a government hospital playing the game on a phone with a cash wager involved.
Police reports state the complainant won and kept the money. The accused then insisted on receiving the amount, but the request was denied, leading to a heated exchange.
In the course of the dispute, the accused reportedly took the complainant’s motorcycle keys. When asked to return them, the accused grew angry and struck with a sharp object.
The injured man received initial care at Navagarh Government Hospital but was transferred to Junagadh Civil Hospital due to the seriousness of the wounds. His condition remains serious yet stable.
Jetpur Udyognagar police arrived after learning of the incident, recorded the complaint, arrested the accused, and recovered the weapon.
