ISRO’s science activities cover areas including astronomy, astrophysics, planetary and Earth sciences, atmospheric sciences and theoretical physics. Recent national discussions around space technology and scientific research have also highlighted opportunities for students, researchers and emerging space institutions. India’s growing space ecosystem, together with international cooperation and new research initiatives, is creating opportunities for scientific discovery and innovation. ISRO has also announced the National Space Science Symposium 2026, while India’s wider space programme continues to develop capabilities for future exploration and human spaceflight.
