Representing Vidarbha, Hinge finished with figures of four for 34. He dismissed Vaibhav Suryavanshi for a duck on the second delivery, followed by Dhruv Jurel and Lhuan-dre Pretorius, both for zero, leaving Rajasthan Royals at 1/3 after the opening over. This performance set a record for the most wickets in the first over of an IPL game.
In the contest, Sunrisers Hyderabad secured a 57-run victory over Rajasthan Royals in Hyderabad. Batting first after losing the toss, Sunrisers Hyderabad reached 216/6, driven by captain Ishan Kishan’s 91 from 44 balls, featuring eight fours and six sixes. Heinrich Klaasen contributed 40 from 26 balls with one four and three sixes, while Nitish Kumar Reddy added 28 from 13 balls with four boundaries.
Chasing 217, Rajasthan Royals were restricted to 159 in 19 overs. Donovan Ferreira scored 69 from 44 balls, including seven fours and three sixes, and Ravindra Jadeja made 45 from 32 balls with five fours, forming a 118-run partnership. However, debutant Sakib Hussain claimed four for 24, dismissing key players including Yashasvi Jaiswal for one, Donovan Ferreira, Jofra Archer, and Ravi Bishnoi.
Hinge also removed captain Riyan Parag for four in the third over, reducing Rajasthan Royals to 9/5 early on. The team reached 70/5 at the midpoint and crossed 100 in the 12th over, but collapsed thereafter.
The result ended Rajasthan Royals’ four-game winning run, marking their first loss while they stayed atop the standings. Sunrisers Hyderabad earned their second win of the season, moving to fourth place.
