India suffered a 0-2 loss to Jamaica in the semifinal of the 2026 Unity Cup at The Valley in London, with goals conceded in each half. The side led by Khalid Jamil will now play Zimbabwe in the third-place playoff on Saturday, while Jamaica meets Nigeria in the final, repeating last year’s matchup.

This was India’s first game on British soil since 2002. Courtney Clarke scored a fine goal in the eighth minute and Kaheim Dixon added a solo effort in the 78th minute to secure Jamaica’s final spot. Zimbabwe had lost to Nigeria in the other semifinal earlier that day.

The match featured several firsts, as Noufal PN and Ricky Shabong earned their senior national team debuts and Edmund Lalrindika received his initial start for India.
