India has maintained its leading position in the ICC Men’s ODI Team Rankings after the yearly update, though its advantage over New Zealand has narrowed from eight to five points.
After the update, India dropped from 119 to 118 points, while New Zealand gained two points to reach 113. Australia, the current World Cup winners, remain third with 109 points unchanged.
The only change in the top 10 sees South Africa (102) move ahead of Pakistan (98) into fourth place.
Notably, the gap between ninth-ranked Bangladesh and the West Indies has widened to 10 points.
Other shifts include Ireland overtaking Zimbabwe for 11th, the USA moving above Scotland to 13th, and the United Arab Emirates ahead of Canada in 19th.
India also leads the ICC Men’s T20I Rankings after last week’s updates, while Australia tops the Test rankings. Australia ranks first in both Women’s ODI and T20I lists.
