Indian state sports bodies show limited activity in promoting athletes after the Commonwealth Games. Haryana recorded the highest medal count with eleven winners across boxing, wrestling, athletics and para events, yet its sports department posted only once in 2026 about a music event. Manipur produced four medalists including a gold, but its youth affairs account has remained inactive since October 2023. Rajasthan’s sports department has not posted on Facebook since 2012, with minimal activity on other platforms despite recent successes. Uttar Pradesh and Delhi display similarly low engagement despite notable performances. Other states fall in between with occasional updates. The analysis reviewed official social media accounts to assess how actively departments share stories of medalists to inspire younger athletes in training facilities.
