The Vivo T5 Pro recently entered India’s competitive mid-range smartphone market as the follow-up to last year’s Vivo T4 Pro. It shares several features with the Oppo A6 Pro and Lava Agni 4, including expansive screens, 8GB of RAM, 5G support, 50-megapixel main rear cameras, and rapid charging capabilities. However, they vary in cost, processors, and available colors.

The Vivo T5 Pro starts at Rs. 29,999 for the entry-level version with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. Higher options include 8GB RAM with 256GB storage at Rs. 33,999 and 12GB RAM with 256GB storage at Rs. 39,999. It comes in Cosmic Black and Glacier Blue.

The Oppo A6 Pro begins at Rs. 21,999 for 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, with the 256GB storage model priced at Rs. 23,999 while keeping 8GB RAM. Color choices are Aurora Gold and Cappuccino Brown.

The Lava Agni 4 is available in a single configuration with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage for Rs. 24,999. It offers Phantom Black and Lunar Mist options.

Display and Operating System

The Vivo T5 Pro includes a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display (1,260×2,800 pixels) with a refresh rate up to 144Hz and peak brightness reaching 5,000 nits in specific areas. It holds certifications for low blue light and low flicker from SGS.

The Oppo A6 Pro has a 6.75-inch HD+ LCD screen (720×1,570 pixels) supporting up to 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling, with peak brightness up to 1,125 nits.

The Lava Agni 4 features a 6.67-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and local peak brightness up to 2,400 nits.

All three devices support dual SIM cards. Software-wise, the Vivo T5 Pro operates on Android 16 with ColorOS 16, the Oppo A6 Pro uses Android 15 with ColorOS 15, and the Lava Agni 4 runs on Android 15.

Processor and Battery

The Vivo T5 Pro is powered by a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor, with up to 12GB LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB storage. It includes a vapor chamber cooling system covering 7,000 square millimeters for heat management.

The Oppo A6 Pro uses a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chip, paired with 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB UFS 2.2 storage. Its vapor chamber spans 3,900 square millimeters.

The Lava Agni 4 employs a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 processor, with 8GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 4.0 storage. It has a liquid cooling vapor chamber of 4,300 square millimeters.

Battery capacities differ: the Vivo T5 Pro has a 9,020mAh unit with 90W wired fast charging. The Oppo A6 Pro offers a 7,000mAh battery supporting 80W SuperVOOC charging. The Lava Agni 4 includes a 5,000mAh battery with 66W wired charging.

Cameras and Physical Specs

The Vivo T5 Pro’s rear setup consists of a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 primary sensor and a 2-megapixel bokeh lens, plus a 32-megapixel front camera.

While the Vivo T5 Pro, Oppo A6 Pro, and Lava Agni 4 have overlapping attributes, they cater to varied preferences. The Vivo T5 Pro excels with its large 9,020mAh battery, ideal for those needing prolonged usage. The Lava Agni 4 provides superior performance for gaming and demanding tasks, thanks to its advanced processor. Although efficient, the Vivo T5 Pro uses a less powerful Snapdragon chip compared to the others.
