Google has told the Delhi High Court that it cannot actively scan YouTube for unauthorized recordings of court proceedings. The company noted its role as an intermediary, placing responsibility on those who upload material rather than the platform itself. It added that reviewing millions of videos is not feasible. Google explained it removes content only after receiving a court directive and has already restricted the identified links as a safeguard. It asked the court to reject the petition filed against it.
