On Sunday, users of Meta’s Facebook and Instagram platforms reported difficulties logging into their accounts across various regions, including India. Downdetector, a service that monitors service disruptions through user reports, noted a peak in complaints during the afternoon, which subsided within a few hours. Affected Facebook users saw a message indicating their account was temporarily unavailable due to a site issue, with expectations of quick resolution. Similar access problems were noted on Instagram. Meta did not respond immediately to an inquiry via email.
