Samsung appears set to add to its Galaxy M series with the introduction of the Galaxy M47, which has been detected on the company’s private testing systems. This development points to active progress on the device. It was previously identified in the IMEI registry, providing initial confirmation of its development. The new model is anticipated to include notable enhancements compared to the Galaxy M44, released in late 2023.

Samsung Galaxy M47 Undergoing Tests in India and Nepal

A report from SammyGuru indicates that the Galaxy M47, bearing the model SM-M476B, has shown up on Samsung’s testing infrastructure in India and Nepal. This development signals preparations for a new entry in the M4x lineup, potentially arriving later this year with 5G capabilities.

The device is projected to feature affordable pricing and availability in regions like India via online retailers such as Amazon. It might include a Super AMOLED screen and a substantial battery capacity.

The information also hints at possible adjustments in Samsung’s approach to naming and marketing for its M and F series to attract a broader customer base. No new M3x or M5x devices are anticipated this year, suggesting a change in release plans.

In related news, the Galaxy F70 Pro is expected to be the F series equivalent of the M47, possibly with model number SM-E476B. It has not yet surfaced on testing systems, but further information should emerge nearer to its debut.

For reference, the Galaxy M44 includes a 6.58-inch full-HD+ LCD display, a 50-megapixel triple camera setup on the back, and an 8-megapixel front camera. It has a 5,000mAh battery, an unnamed octa-core processor, and ships with Android 13.
