Authorities reported that a small aircraft struck a tree and crashed in a forested region of Chhattisgarh’s Jashpur district on Monday.

The accident took place in the Ratanpahli forest near Khurasagarha village, under the Narayanpur police station’s jurisdiction.

Initial reports indicate the plane was operating at an unusually low height of about 30 feet when it hit the tree and fell.

Footage from the site depicts a compact single-engine propeller plane skimming just above the treetops shortly before the incident.

A response team has been dispatched to the location to evaluate the circumstances.

Officials noted that the crash remains unconfirmed officially, with further information expected soon.
