Initial images of the rooftop at the marital home in Bhopal’s Katara Hills, where actor-model Twisha Sharma was reportedly found dead, have emerged. India Today TV obtained access to the location of the incident.
The terrace marks the site where the 33-year-old was allegedly discovered hanging on May 12, prompting a prominent inquiry that developed into a suspected dowry death matter.
Twisha, originally from Noida, died at her in-laws’ house amid circumstances still being examined. Her husband’s relatives stated she struggled with substance issues, a claim her parents have denied while alleging harassment linked to dowry requests.
Her remains are held at the AIIMS Bhopal mortuary pending legal and forensic steps.
Key updates occurred on Friday when the Madhya Pradesh High Court directed a second postmortem by experts from AIIMS Delhi. This followed concerns from Twisha’s family about the first examination and their request for an independent review.
Police also detained her husband, Samarth Singh, who had reportedly been missing for over a week. He was brought to Bhopal early Saturday and authorities plan to seek extended custody for questioning.
The head of forensic medicine at AIIMS Delhi confirmed readiness to perform the additional autopsy per the court directive.
Police sources indicated Singh, son of former judge Giribala Singh, arrived at Katara Hills station around 2 am. His mother, who obtained anticipatory bail, faces charges as well.
After the death, Bhopal police filed an FIR against Singh and his mother under dowry death, cruelty, and common intention provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita plus the Dowry Prohibition Act.
