A case has been reported from Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala involving a madrasa teacher accused of sending obscene videos to girls aged 12 to 14. Shemeer Asari, linked to the Jawahar Beemappalli Muslim Jamaat Committee, remains at large after police registered a case under the POCSO Act following complaints from the parents.

Reports state that Asari formed a WhatsApp group for online madrasa classes and included the children. He allegedly shared obscene videos and messages with the girls and asked if they could meet to perform similar acts. The parents first raised the issue with the Jamaat Committee without result and later approached Poonthura Police.

Authorities have filed the case but have not yet arrested the accused. A video of Asari discussing the risks of social media for children has circulated online.
