A young man was stabbed aboard a moving train in Kerala on Saturday by an intoxicated fellow passenger after a minor dispute, police said. The victim needed 35 stitches but remains stable, and the suspect has been detained. The incident took place on the Karaikkal Express, an overnight service running between Karaikkal in Puducherry and Ernakulam Junction. The quarrel began when one passenger tripped over the leg of the other. Authorities have filed charges under Section 110 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for attempted culpable homicide.
