An Indian Air Force AN-32 plane crashed during landing at Jorhat in Assam on Saturday, June 13, 2026. The incident claimed the lives of five personnel. The deceased were identified as Squadron Leader Prashant Singh, Flight Lieutenant Shubham Kumar, Sergeant Jitendra Sharma, Agniveervayu Khemaram Kumawat and Agniveervayu Danish Alam. The aircraft belonged to the 43 Squadron and was transporting cargo to the Rowriah airbase. The IAF stated that a court of inquiry will investigate the cause. Senior officials reached the site, the station was cordoned off, and no unauthorised entry was permitted. The force expressed regret over the loss and offered condolences to the families.
