Police have arrested a 22-year-old man suspected of attacking a teenage girl with an axe in Madhya Pradesh. Authorities say the accused entered the victim’s home on Friday morning while she was alone, struck her with the weapon, and then pursued her to the terrace. There he allegedly placed a noose around her neck in an attempt to hang her from the roof before throwing her to the ground. The girl suffered serious injuries and remains in critical condition. The incident has sparked widespread anger in the village. Additional Superintendent of Police Sanjeev Mule confirmed the arrest and said a detailed investigation is in progress.
