Google is introducing AI-powered Search agents that monitor the web, track developments and send updates automatically without repeated user searches. The company has started rolling out these tools to Google AI Ultra subscribers via AI Mode. Named Information Agents, the features were first shown at Google I/O 2026 and now track topics across blogs, news sites, social media, financial data and other sources. They operate in the background to identify relevant changes and notify users, moving Search toward a more proactive approach.
