A 38-year-old man from Kerala and a 24-year-old woman from Uttar Pradesh were discovered dead under suspicious conditions inside a rented room in Saharanpur district, according to police. Officers forced open the locked room in SBI Colony near Tiranga Chowk late Wednesday night after receiving a report that the occupant was unresponsive. The man had been employed at a private hospital in the area, while the woman was from the Gagalhedi police station jurisdiction. Authorities have sent the bodies for post-mortem examination, collected forensic evidence, and seized the victims’ mobile phones. Local residents are being questioned. A senior police official stated that the case appears linked to a personal relationship. Preliminary findings indicate the man cut his wrist and partially hanged himself from a window, while the woman likely ingested a toxic substance. No external injuries were observed on the woman. The man’s body was found suspended from a ceiling fan with blood near his wrist, and the woman’s body lay on the floor. Investigations continue with post-mortem results and digital evidence expected to clarify events.
