Sri Lanka Cricket has released the schedule for India’s two-match Test series in Sri Lanka. Both matches will occur in August during the ICC World Test Championship 2025-27 cycle. The opening Test is set for Galle International Cricket Stadium from August 15 to 19. The second Test will be held at the Singhalese Sports Club in Colombo from August 23 to 27. This marks India’s first Test visit to Sri Lanka since 2017, when the visitors won the three-match series 3-0. The upcoming contest represents India’s initial assignment in the country for the current World Test Championship. India sit fifth in the standings, while Sri Lanka are sixth. India will also visit New Zealand for two Tests later this year. The team drew 2-2 in England and defeated the West Indies at home under new leadership but suffered a home series loss to South Africa. Sri Lankan spinners are expected to test the Indian batting lineup.
