Four people died and two others were hurt when an LPG tanker caught fire near a toll plaza in Uttar Pradesh’s Kaushambi district. The June 26 morning crash happened as the vehicle, en route from Kanpur to Varanasi, reportedly veered out of control, struck a divider, released gas and burst into flames. CCTV video shows the tanker speeding into the barrier just before the blaze spread. The driver from Mirzapur was trapped and died on site. Five toll workers suffered serious burns and were taken to a hospital in Prayagraj. One died the next day and two more later, bringing the total fatalities to four.
