Shouvik Das has followed the development and changes in India’s technology sector for more than ten years through print, broadcast and digital platforms. Interested in machines and computers since childhood, he turned this interest into his profession. The role has allowed him to observe technologies worldwide. Das considers himself one of the few technology journalists in India who can also write code. He reported on artificial intelligence before it became widely known and has interviewed many notable individuals. He covers topics including AI, major technology firms, data centres, electronics, semiconductors, cybersecurity, gaming, cryptocurrencies and consumer devices. At Mint he writes a weekly technology newsletter called Transformer and hosts a weekly podcast named Techcetra. Outside work he spends time with his dog Pixel and enjoys reading, collecting toys, gaming and travel.
