The order followed a report from North Goa police to the District Magistrate about activities of the Students Islamic Organisation of India. A July 6 circular noted concerns that the group’s ideological influence and events could be viewed as anti-social or anti-national, urging vigilance to avoid risks to national security and communal harmony.
