Odisha Police have called two former senior officials from the chief minister’s office under the prior Biju Janata Dal administration for questioning in a probe into the alleged loss of two commission reports. Retired IAS officer Rajesh Verma and former IRTS officer Manoj Mishra received summons related to inquiries on the 2008 killing of seer Laxmananda Saraswati in Kandhamal and the 2016 fire at SUM medical college. They must appear on July 22. The officials did not reply to requests for comment.
