KFC is merging Indian street food tastes with its signature fried chicken by rolling out a new Crispy Naan selection throughout the UK. The chain has introduced four limited-time offerings, among them two burgers that use naan in place of standard buns. This follows a rising interest in fusion dishes such as sushi burritos and Mexican pizza among diners seeking fresh taste mixes. The launch pairs two popular British foods: fried chicken and curry. The Tandoori Zinger Crispy Naan offers a spicier choice with a Zinger fillet, Tandoori sauce, tomato, red onion, lettuce and melted cheese between two naans. The milder Creamy Original Crispy Naan uses Original Recipe chicken with a yoghurt and shallot sauce described as creamy, tangy, fresh and herby. Each naan burger costs £7.49 alone or £9.49 with a meal. Additional items include Tandoori Loaded Fries at £3.99 and the Tandoori Dipping Feast for £26.99. The range launches nationwide on July 20 and runs for five weeks until August 23. KFC is also adding two new matcha drinks to its menu as a permanent option.
